Bybit says AI assistant is free in trial phase and runs on Claude Sonnet 4.6

Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou said during a Bybit AI launch livestream that the exchange’s AI assistant currently uses the Claude Sonnet 4.6 model. He also outlined how the product handles trade execution and risk controls during the trial period. According to Zhou, all trades are carried out through a separate AI sub-account created automatically by the system, keeping those activities isolated from funds in a user’s main account. Users can set a range of control parameters, including asset caps, permissions for deposits, withdrawals and internal transfers, leverage limits, contract leverage limits, and take-profit and stop-loss settings. Zhou added that any executable action still requires a second confirmation from the user before it can go through. Bybit AI is currently in a trial phase and is being offered free of charge for now. The platform has also set daily question limits based on user tier, with quotas resetting each day.

Bybit to launch Bybit AI as Ben Zhou prepares live product demo

Bybit has announced the rollout of Bybit AI, a conversational assistant built into the Bybit app that combines trading, account management and customer service functions in one interface. The exchange said users will be able to handle routine actions through natural-language prompts instead of moving between web pages, menus and forms. According to the company, the product is designed to execute user requests after identifying intent, covering activities such as checking balances, placing trades and submitting support tickets. Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou is scheduled to officially unveil the product and demonstrate it live on Sept. 9 at 8:00 a.m. UTC through a Bybit livestream. The first release includes two main components: a full-featured AI assistant spanning spot, derivatives and options, along with products such as Bybit Earn, copy trading, trading bots, loans, P2P, Bybit Card, Spot X and the Rewards Hub; and an upgraded support system in which the AI works alongside human customer service. Bybit also said users who enable the feature will receive a dedicated Bybit AI sub-account separated from their main account assets, with activation available directly after login and no API key or manual setup required.

Bybit says AI saved $700 million a year after its $1.46 billion hack loss

Bybit says artificial intelligence helped it save $700 million, one year after the exchange lost $1.46 billion to North Korean hackers. According to CoinDesk, the claim matters because it is the first time a large centralized firm has attached a specific figure to an argument that bitcoin developers have been making throughout the month. The report frames Bybit’s number as a concrete benchmark in a debate that, until now, had largely been discussed without a disclosed amount from a major centralized company. The exchange’s statement links a $700 million saving to AI, while the earlier loss tied to North Korean hackers remains the reference point for the scale of the claim.
